Idaho (ID) Department of Human Resources
August 14th, 2006 Posted by KimberlyWhat does the Idaho (ID) Department of Human Resources do for any of us? You may know them as the Department of Labor or other such titles but what is shocking is that many do not realize just what the department of our state run government can provide to them. In fact, if you are an employer or you are an employee, this department provides a huge role in your job or your business even if you do not realize it. Nevertheless, it is a tool for all of us in the state to take full advantage of.
First and foremost, for a business to get off the ground and open its doors, the Department of Labor in the state of Idaho must provide them with a license for doing so. This license offers many things for example, it may be allowing them to serve food, to provide a safe work environment to the worker and that they are meeting all necessary requirements in that respect as an employer. Without the okay from the Idaho Department of Human Resources, it is not likely that there will be many customers as of yet.
On the employee front, or should we say the citizen front, the department offers many benefits as well. You may turn to them for insurance and unemployment compensation while you are out of work, but they also provide services to Veterans, monitor employee benefits, monitor worker’s compensation, handle job training and education, as well as maintain the state’s minimum wage and safety regulations.
The Idaho Department of Human Resources is a key role player in our everyday life. If you are one that is looking for a bit of help in getting a job or a new business owner trying to find the necessary tools to do business with, it is this department that you will need to turn to.
