If you live in the state, then the Michigan (MI) Department of Human Resources is a key player in your life whether you realize it or not. In fact, today, we face countless obstacles and various different problems when it comes to our work force. Yet, the state has the ability to find the necessary help it needs. If you are unemployed and living in Michigan, it pays to work with the Michigan Department of Human Resources as there are several opportunities that it can provide to you.

For one, the Michigan Department of Human Resources tracks unemployment. As of December 2004, the unemployment rate was that of 7.5 percent. As of July of 2006, that rate has dropped to just 6.3 percent instead. This has been put in place in part by the creation of 25,700 jobs within the state since this time of last year. That is a good amount of growth, yet there is more to solving the unemployment problems in the state than just this factor. In addition, the department also offers help to those that are looking for employment but may not be qualified for it.

In this case, the Michigan Department of Human Resources has been able to find benefits through several programs. The Job Training and Dislocated Workers Fund have received over 2 billion dollars in funds to help in funding the needs of those that live in the state. These programs provide help in the way of skill training and help in career development. Another program, One Stop Career Centers, provides additional help in the way of providing help in finding employment and meeting the needs of those that are unemployed so that they can find the employment they need. Through these programs, as well as through the creation of additional jobs, the Michigan Department of Human Resources has been able to drop the unemployment rate successfully.
