New Jersey Job Site Posters
September 7th, 2006 Posted by MarkAh, the Garden State—now the title of a hit movie as well as the nickname for the state that borders Pennsylvania and New York. Some would say that the Garden State is in fact really just a big suburb of New York City and Philadelphia, but if you were to ask the people who live there, they would disagree. If you want further proof of New Jersey’s independence, just check out its New Jersey Job Site Posters.
The New Jersey Job Site Posters are the real-deal, meaning they are completely different than the posters used in any other state, even the posters used in Philadelphia and New York. So though I may have taken a look at the New Jersey Job Site Posters in the past, we should take a quick review of them just in case we have new readers here today.
For starters, the New Jersey Job Site Posters contain the same six federal mandatory postings that we’ve seen in many other states. These include the USERRA posting for employees on armed service duty, the OSHA posting for job site safety and health, the Equal Employment Opportunity posting against discrimination, the Family and Medical Leave Act posting, the federal minimum wage notice, and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act notice.
What also sets the New Jersey Job Site Posters apart, though, are the nine state mandatory postings that are in them. This long list of postings include the right to know posting, the state Family Leave Act posting, the Unemployment Insurance notice, the Conscientious Employee posting, the wage payment posting, the workers’ comp posting, the child labor posting, the discrimination notice, and the payment of wages posting.
In particular, you won’t find such a payment of wages posting except in the New Jersey Job Site Posters. This particular posting in the New Jersey Job Site Posters teaches employees that their employers must pay them in full at least twice a month.
