Ohio Labor Law Posters are important to have at work. Well educated employees in the area of their rights and labor law can help a business be successful. Plus, it is the law for employees to know their rights.

An Ohio Labor Law Poster must be posted in a conspicuous place at the job site to ensure that everyone can see them. Sometimes the posters are on the walls in the common areas or in the employee workroom just to name a few places.

The Ohio Labor Law Poster contains information about state laws including Unemployment Insurance, Rebuttable Insurance Notice, Workers’ Compensation, Public Employee Risk Reduction, Minimum Wage, Minor Labor Laws and a Discrimination Notice. Federal laws on the poster include the USERRA - Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law, Federal Minimum Wage, Employee Polygraph Protection Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and the OSHA-Job Safety & Health Protection Act.

The Minimum Wage legislation was recently updated in Ohio. This change occurred in July 2006. There were minor changes to the posters, however employers must make sure they get the latest poster.

Each Ohio Labor Law Poster has specific laws that relate to employment and where an employee can receive assistance if he or she feels that one of the laws have been violated. If you haven’t updated your posters, then it is time to obtain the newest poster.

The Ohio Labor Law Poster informs all employees whether they are the cook, secretary, vice president or janitor. Ohio employers have to keep the latest version of the poster in the workplace. The posters are updated frequently and it is their responsibility to update them.
