CA Labor Law Posters
October 4th, 2006 Posted by MarkAs we just got done talking about in the last blog, the CA Labor Law Posters contain six federal postings for U.S. government laws coming out of Washington D.C. And we were able to go into some of them in that previous blog (with hopes of covering the rest in a future blog, thank you). But the CA Labor Law Posters also contain 14 state postings, and I think it’s important we take a break to look at those now.
One of the main state postings in the CA Labor Law Posters is the wage order postings, mainly because though it is listed as one of the mandatory postings, there are actual many versions of the wage order posting that can go into the CA Labor Law Posters.
The different versions depend on what industry an employer is in. For instance, the wage order number 1 posting is for the manufacturing industry. The wage order number 2 is for the personal services industry, while the wage order number 3 is for the canning, freezing, and preserving industry.
It doesn’t stop there. Wage order posting number 4 is for the professional,. Technical, clerical, mechanical and similar occupations. Wage order number 5 is for public housekeeping industries. Wage order number six is for the laundry, linen supply, dry cleaning and dyeing industry, whole wage order posting number 7 is for the mercantile industry.
Wage order posting number 8 is for industries that handle foods after harvesting, and wage order posting number 9 is for the transportation industry. Wage order posting number 10 is for the amusement and recreation industry, and the wage order posting number 11 is for the broadcast industry.
Coming to an end, we have the wage order number 12 posting for the motion picture industry, and wage order posting number 13 is for industries that prepare agricultural products for the market on the farm. Wage posting number 14 is for ag occupations, and number 15 is for household occupations.
