Kentucky OSHA 300
February 28th, 2007 Posted by AmeliaWhile no one likes to be reminded of workplace injuries and accidents, the Kentucky OSHA 300 form does so with a safer future in mind. The OSHA 300A form must be prominently displayed on every job site throughout Kentucky from February 1 through April 30, 2007, in an effort to increase awareness of safety on the job.
Any employer who has not posted their Kentucky OSHA 300 form needs to do so ASAP. By law, the forms are to be posted from February through April each year.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was established to provide training, outreach, and education programs throughout America’s workforce. It is OSHA’s responsibility to set and enforce the highest standards possible to ensure the safety and health of every worker while on the job.
The 2007 OSHA 300 form is one tool designed to help accomplish this mission. Other posters utilized are the OSHA Safety Communication poster and the Job Safety and Health Protection poster.
OSHA – It’s the Law is the name of a poster that describes OSHA’s mission. All OSHA posters must be prominently displayed on every job site in America and in such a manner that all employees come into contact with them during the routine performance of their jobs.
Failure to properly display these posters is in violation of OSHA mandates; employers neglecting to display these posters may be cited or even fined for noncompliance.
While most states rely on the federal OSHA program when setting and enforcing safety standards, 24 states have developed their own workforce safety programs. The workforce safety programs established in these states must meet OSHA’s standards in order to be approved for operation.
In order to maintain OSHA approval, these states must issue workplace posters similar to those OSHA provides and their display must be mandatory, too. In these 24 states, some employers post only those bulletins issued within the state’s jurisdiction while others display both the state and federal publications.
