GINA Regulation Added To The Equal Employment Opportunity Is The Law Poster Specifically, GINA strictly prohibits employers from collecting genetic information from employees, and using this information to make decisions regarding employment terms. GINA regulations apply to all private, state, and local government employers with 15 or more employees. All employers are required to post notices that describe job discrimination laws. As an employer, you are required to post the updated EEOC poster or poster supplement in a prominent workplace location. The Equal Employment Opportunity Is The Law Poster Updated Every employer covered by the non-discrimination and EEO laws is required to post on its premises the poster titled, Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law. It should be posted prominently in an area where employees and applicants are frequent most. Executive Order 11246 Poster Requirements Federal contractors and subcontractors who (1) hold government bills of lading; (2) serve as a depository of federal funds in any amount; or (3) act as issuing and paying agents for U.S. savings bonds and notes must also post the EEO notice. The notice must be posted in conspicuous places available to employees and applicants for employment and representatives of each labor union with which the covered contractor or subcontractor has a collective bargaining agreement, such as, the personnel office, work-out facility, lunchroom, or company bulletin board.
